Christina Linardaki was born in Athens in 1971. She is a graduate of the School of English Literature, University of Athens and she has also studied translation and interpreting at the University of Manchester – Institute of Science and Technology. She also holds a MA in communication from the Open University of Cyprus. She has been working as a translator since 1993. Since 2013 she is head of the Research and Publications Service of the Centre for Culture, Research and Documentation of the Bank of Greece. She is a member of the Advanced Media Institute with research focusing on the relation of literature with communication and the relation of adolescents with the internet.
She has published five books with short story and poetry translations and has contributed to three collective works: for Odysseas Elytis (Athens: Pineios Publications, 2011), for Makis Apostolatos (Athens: Vakxikon Publication, 2016) and for John Berger (London: ZED Publications, 2016). She has also contributed to two collective volumes in Greek. She has published more than 100 articles in the Greek press and she is the editor-in-chief of the literary blog στίγμαΛόγου (http://stigmalogou.blogspot.com/).
